Fontainebleau is well known for its castle, but that’s not the only place of interest to explore. In fact, the town is also home to a forest designated by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve. Recognized as one of the most beautiful in Europe, you can explore it by following the marked trails on foot, by bike, or even on horseback. The more adventurous can also gobouldering here, with some iconic boulders in the climbing world, such as L’Alchimiste.
